Château de Maranval is located in the heart of the Sauternes appellation, in the south of Gironde, 40 km from Bordeaux.
The appellation covers 5 communes: Barsac, Bommes, Fargues, Preignac and Sauternes.
The 4.5-hectare Château de Maranval estate is divided into 10 plots in the commune of Bommes, and is surrounded by classified growths. It therefore benefits from an exceptional geographical location.
Our grape varieties are 80% Semillon, 10% Sauvignon and 10% Muscadelle, and thrive on this sandy gravel terroir. The wines of Château de Maranval benefit from the great expertise of Guillaume, Marie-Pierre’s husband and assistant to the director of one of the 1er crus classés.
Tours of the cellars and tastings are conducted and commented on by the owners.
