This itinerary allows you to get close to the secret and magical environment of the “lagoons”, small circular bodies of water of glacial origin. Around the Gât Mort, the forest opens out onto an area of open moorland vast enough to evoke the landscapes of centuries gone by.
The nearby water table allows some of the route’s visitors to explore the lagoons.
The nearby water table enables some of these lagoons to maintain a low level of water throughout the year, albeit no higher than one metre. The route, punctuated by a number of observatories, provides an overview of the vegetation.
