Just a stone’s throw from the banks of the River Ciron, the village of Saint-Michel-de-Castelnau is set in lush greenery, with the village church towering above it. It is in this peaceful setting that the transhumance route crosses the village every September.

A few kilometres from the village, at a place called Castelnau, on the way to Bazas, don’t miss the park and underground passageways of the former château de Castelnau de Mesmes, which are open on a few dates during the year.
