Village of Escaudes to Escaudes
The etymology of the village’s name is “Aygues Caudes”, which refers to a hot spring, no longer in existence, that was located near the parish church.
When you arrive in Escaudes, you’ll be able to admire its beautiful 10th-century Romanesque church, its old ox-shoeing loom and the unusual neo-Basque-style buildings that add to the village’s charm.
Take advantage of the opportunity to explore the surrounding area on a nature trail and stop off at the l’S-Caudais restaurant.
