eglise St Romain - Castets

Eglise Saint-Romain to Castets et castillon

Along with St-Loubert and St-Pardon-de-Conques, it is one of three churches built in the region during the reign of Clement V. Its very high bell tower is flanked by powerful buttresses. The top, which houses the bells, is protected by a small corbelled building. The building still has a marble altar to the right of the choir. Its chevet is listed as a Historic Monument. Saint-Romain used to be the only church in the commune. Today, it is the church of the Mazérac district.
