The transhumance route passes through Lartigue to Lartigue
Le 27/09/2024Since the year 2000, Stéphane Iriberri, after spending the summer in the Estaing mountains with his flock of ewes, has been returning home on foot along the paths traced until 1950 by the Cadets, the mountain shepherds in charge of the family flock.
Each of the villages that the shepherd and his flock of 340 ewes will pass through over the course of 3 weeks, covering almost 340 kms, have a history along the route of these transhumances, which were a very important economic, social and cultural reality for centuries.
Dinner is available on booking for this stage.
