Foire aux chapons de Grignols to Grignols

The reputation of Grignols capons is well established: fattened the old-fashioned way, on grain, bread and milk, they produce particularly tasty meat. A week before the Christmas festivities, head to the market hall and village square to stock up on them! Capons and other poultry are on display alongside local and regional produce, as well as a Christmas market offering all kinds of gift ideas for the festive season.

The event begins with the blessing of the capon, celebrated in the church of Notre Dame de Grignols in the presence of friendly and neighbouring brotherhoods, followed by the induction of VIPs into the capon brotherhood.

Mass with music and a lively meal (reservations required from the town hall).

PROGRAMME :
9.00 am: Opening of the Fair,
10.30am: Mass with blessing of the capon,
11:30am: Inauguration of the Fair and the sculpture “Chapon de
Grignols”, entertained by the Banda “Les Amuse-Gueules” – Speeches, aperitif.
1pm: Meal hosted by Thierry Bordenave and his group “BURDIGALA” (menu available for download) bookings until 6/12 at Grignols Town Hall 05.56.65.01.20
